Fees for GP services Everybody gets charged the same fee, although the NZ government pays a subsidy for some people which lowers the cost. Read the explanation.   Some people have a Community Services Card, or a High User Card, for both of which you have to apply to Work and Income NZ (WINZ), both of which keep your costs down, but you have to see the doctor, there is currently no subsidy if you see the nurse.   We are raising our fees from October 2010 to reflect rising costs, and the impact of the GST increase. The last fee increase was September 2009.
All of these fees may vary for non-standard situations.   From October 2010
